Countless day trips are a short drive from the property including the popular Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton Haynes Motor Museum Cheddar and Wookey Caves a wealth of National Trust properties and the always popular Longleat House and Safari Park. Enjoy the meandering streets of Sherborne where you are bound to find a memento of your stay; overlooked by its two castles it is home for numerous events throughout the year from its country fair to open air concerts. Farm activities: guests are welcome to help the owners feed the ducks chickens Shetland ponies and Zwarbles sheep. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 spacious master double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC on the first-floor. Lounge/diner: you are welcomed into this room through the stable door. Spacious open-plan room offering ample seating TV with Freeview DVD and woodburner. Kitchen: and breakfast room reached via one step from the lounge offering electric cooker and hob washer/dryer dishwasher fridge with ice compartment and microwave. Amenities: off-road parking for 1 car. Bed linen towels electric first basket of logs central heating and wi-fi included. 1 dog welcome 2nd by arrangement. Regret no smoking within the property. Location: beach is a pleasant 1 hour drive shop within 2 miles and pub within 1 mile.

Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
